Why Good Samaritan Hospital
Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) is a full-service teaching facility with an array of specialists, dedicated hospitalists, and a Primary Care Network.
Founded in 1932, GSH has 560 beds and is a leading provider of inpatient and outpatient health care services. Currently, more than 550 physicians representing more than 35 medical and surgical specialties practice at GSH. The hospital is affiliated with Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and provides advanced services in cardiovascular care, cancer, orthopedics, neuroscience, diagnostics, and women’s health. It is also home to Good Samaritan North Health Center, one of the largest freestanding outpatient facilities.
To strengthen their ability to serve the Dayton community, GSH and Miami Valley Hospital (MVH) formed the joint operating company Premier Health (Premier). GSH is also a member of Catholic Health Initiatives, one of the largest Catholic Health systems in the country.
