- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1/3 cup apple juice - frozen concentrate
- 1 small onion minced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes crushed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- freshly ground black pepper
Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Brush on chicken or ribs liberally while barbecuing. This is a very liquid sauce and will concentrate as it cooks. Brush meat with each turn. Makes enough to barbecue two cut up chickens, or a slab of ribs.
