Good Samaritan Hospital Names Executive Director of Dayton Heart Institute

DAYTON, OHIO, February 19, 2009 – Good Samaritan Hospital has named Josh Lader as the first executive director of the Dayton Heart Institute.

The Dayton Heart Institute (DHI) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to cardiac education and prevention programs for physicians, healthcare professionals and the public. Created following the acquisition by Good Samaritan Hospital of Dayton Heart Hospital in May 2008, DHI’s mission will be to diminish the impact of heart disease on the people of the Dayton region, first through educational opportunities in heart and vascular practice for physicians and healthcare professionals, and then through public education and outreach.

“We’re thrilled to have Josh Lader on board as executive director of the Dayton Heart Institute. He is a proven leader who is passionate about serving our community. Josh brings both extensive experience and deep knowledge in the field of community relations that will enable him to lead DHI into the future,”’ said Dr. David Joffe, President of DHI.

Lader was previously the Director of the Jewish Community Relations Council and the Israel/Overseas Programs for the Jewish Federation of Greater Dayton. Prior to the Jewish Federation, Lader served almost three years with City of Dayton, Ohio as the legislative aide to the Mayor.

Lader has a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master of public administration degree from Arizona State University in Tempe.
