The Gift of Caring Presence Workshop

The Spiritual Care Division offers a workshop entitled “The Gift of Caring Presence – A Practical Approach for Offering Spiritual Care” once a year for interested members of the community. This workshop is designed to help people become effective providers of spiritual care and support to others in home and healthcare settings.

The workshop is beneficial for those who want to learn practical skills that will assist them in ministry to others. Past participants have included Faith Community Nurses, Health Ministers, lay ministry team members, church visitors, hospital Pastoral Care volunteers, nurses, allied healthcare professionals and a host of other interested people.

Continuing education units are available for nurses, social workers, and counselors.
