Special Needs
Good Samaritan Hospital (GSH) offers special services as part of our commitment to our patients.
Language Services
GSH makes every effort to provide language services and communications resources for people who do not speak English, are Limited English Proficient (LEP), or are visually or hearing impaired.
Interpreters and other communication aids are available for hearing-impaired and visually impaired patients. The hospital can provide interpreters, TDD telephones, talk boards, sound amplifiers, telephone voice amplifiers, and motion-impaired telephones.
For information on interpreter services at GSH, please contact any member of the nursing staff. For information on other special needs, please call the Integrated Care Management Department at extension 4652 on weekdays and 5280 or 5290 on weekends. Please contact the Administrative Officer on duty for after-hours questions.
Advanced Directives
Living Will and Health Care Power of Attorney information is available from your nurse upon request.
Service Animals
When a disabled patient, visitor, employee, or medical staff member is accompanied by a service animal, the animal will be granted access to all areas of the facility except for those areas that require special precautions such as wearing a mask, gown, or gloves. The hospital reserves the right to restrict an animal’s access when necessary, in keeping with the hospital’s animal visitation policy.
