Meals and Room Service
Your diet plays an important role in your treatment and recovery at Good Samaritan Hospital. Our medical and food service staffs work together to see that your meals are healthy and appetizing. Your physician has ordered a diet plan just for you, and we will make every effort to meet your individual needs based on this plan.
At times, your health needs may require that you be on a special diet. Our nutrition service associates and dietitians will explain the special diet to you and will tell you what you can expect to receive. For your health and well-being, it is important that any food brought in to you by family or friends comply with your special diet. If you have questions about what you can or cannot eat, feel free to talk with your dietitian or nurse, or call our nutrition advocate by dialing extension 1231 from your room phone.
A member of our Nutrition Services team will serve meals in your hospital room during the following times:
Breakfast: 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m.
Lunch: 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m.
Dinner: 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Your Nutrition Services associate will take your breakfast, lunch, and dinner orders verbally. You do not have to complete any paperwork to get a meal—we do that for you! If you need something for your meal or have some comments for us, please call our Patient Hotline by dialing extension 1231 from your room phone.
Guest meal trays can be ordered and delivered to your room for your visitors. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner options are available for $5.00. Please ask your Nutrition Services associate or nurse for details. Guest meals are limited to two (2) per room per meal period. Payment in cash will be collected when the meal is served.
If you have questions or need help in any way, please call our Patient Hotline by dialing extension 1231 from your room phone.
